Durante la Jornada del 26 de octubre, el Coordinador Nacional de la Estrategia Regional de Desarrollo, Sr. Iván Escares Díaz y la Coordinadora Regional, Sra. Blanca Yáñez Berrios, presentaron los avances que se tienen hasta el momento en el proceso que está generando la próxima Estrategia Regional a los Consejeros Regionales de Tarapacá.

Iván Escares, Coordinador Nacional y Jefe de la División de Planificación y Desarrollo del Gobierno Regional explicó que se está finalizando la etapa del proceso la cual está compuesta por una propuesta de Imagen Objetivo de la Región, el diagnóstico de la situación regional en las áreas social, económica, cultural, infraestructura y recursos naturales y medio ambiente, y el estudio prospectivo de los resultados del diagnóstico regional.

“La próxima y última etapa del proceso de la Estrategia Regional será la de seguir analizando con un grupo de expertos en distintas áreas técnicas, los posibles escenarios tendenciales que se puedan dar a partir de variables del desarrollo regional generadas en cada una de las áreas que han sido estudiadas” explicó Iván Escares, Coordinador Nacional del Proyecto y Jefe de la División de Planificación y Desarrollo (DIPLAD) del Gobierno Regional de Tarapacá.

En esta oportunidad también estuvo presente durante la reunión la Representante de ONUSIDA para Chile, Dra. Anabella Arredondo, la cual explicó a los Consejeros Regionales cuál será el trabajo que desarrollará el Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo PNUD en la región, a través de dos proyectos que se están generando en las áreas de VIH-SIDA y Educación, y que se implementarán a partir del convenio firmado por el Gobierno Regional de Tarapacá y PNUD.
