intendente en el astoreca“Problemáticas de Desarrollo Rural de la Región de Tarapacá” fue el tema del taller realizado por la Universidad Arturo Prat y la División de Planificación y Desarrollo DIPLAD, el día 11 de agosto, en el Palacio Astoreca, donde participaron autoridades regionales, encabezadas por el Intendente Miguel Silva; académicos, dirigentes sindicales y pobladores rurales del interior y del borde costero de la región.

El encuentro tuvo como objetivo poner en consenso y reconocer cuales son las necesidades que viven a diario los habitantes de las zonas rurales de la región, para así poder ampliar la información ya recopilada durante los diagnósticos que está generando en esta etapa la Estrategia Regional de Desarrollo Tarapacá 2020.

En el acto inaugural, el intendente Silva destacó la importancia de esta este estudio para la “Nueva Tarapacá”, asegurando que “el Gobierno Regional a través de la División de Planificación y Desarrollo Regional, ha asumido el desafío de conducir un nuevo proceso, que implica levantar la mirada y mirar el horizonte” aseguró.

Así mismo, Iván Escares, Jefe de la División de Planificación y Desarrollo DIPLAD destacó la importancia y relevancia que tendrán los resultados de este estudio teniendo en cuenta que por primera vez la Región de Tarapacá tiene la oportunidad de generar su propia Estrategia de Desarrollo y potenciar su crecimiento con una mirada a futuro hasta el año 2020.

El taller, contó con la conformación de equipos de trabajo, facilitados por profesionales de la Universidad Arturo Prat, quienes elaboraron el “árbol de problemáticas del desarrollo cultural y territorio rural de la región”.

La valiosa información recopilada durante este taller, será utilizada en los diagnósticos que está desarrollando actualmente la Estrategia Regional de Desarrollo, para ampliar la mirada de la región que queremos hasta el 2020.

Este encuentro se realizó con una alta convocatoria, y quienes la conformaron fueron académicos, investigadores, seremis, directores de servicios públicos, agricultores de Camiña, Pica, y el Borde Costero.
